A few brief words on my breeding practices.

During the winter months, the food regime is plain: just top-quality bird seed and a low-protein feed mixture.

To rear the unfledged, I use the same mixture together with hard-boiled egg, one for every 100g of feed mixture, to which I add water as required.

After weaning; bird seed and feed mixture. Never fruit, vegetables, vitamin combinations, mineral salts or anything like that, because there is plenty of what they need in the bird seed and the feed mix. I only use siliceous sand and there is always cuttlebone available.
